Monona County Public Health

Infectious Disease

The Center for Acute Disease Epidemiology or CADE is a bureau within the division of Acute Disease Prevention and Emergency Response at the Iowa Department of Public Health and works to protect and preserve the health and safety of Iowans from infectious diseases.  It does this through disease surveillance, investigation of acute outbreaks, education and consultation with county, local and private health agencies on infectious diseases.

Monona County Public Health follows up on any reports of infectious disease within the county as identified by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
